A Unique Boutique
Blog
Dear Ms. Streeter,
I love your stories and admire your writing. And actually, I love the Post. As a former newspaper writer who loves newspapers and the news business, I am so grateful that the arrival of the Post every morning delivers a whiff of sanity and reassurance about the values and the country I cherish. I digress. Apologies!
Yesterday, Saturday, I was driving home headed west on NE 4th Street in Delray Beach when I passed a cottage decorated with mannequins wearing colorful clothes fluttering in the breeze on my left. Kelly’s Cottage, it was called and it’s a tiny but charming boutique. I went inside, met the owner, was further charmed by her, found a perfect pair of earrings for a special dress (Kelly had made them!) and a pair of capri pants and walked out thinking I had to share this find with you. And I think Kelly has a story to tell personally. After being a paralegal 25 years, she was let go as a result of the economy so rather than sit home and burden herself with fear and apprehension ~ she started a new business, which I think sets a wonderful example in the current economy.
I took her card. Should you be interested, the address is 393 NE 5th Avenue, Delray. Her phone is 561-274-PINK. I don’t know her last name.
Best wishes for you in your new life ~ you bring so much reading pleasure to others,
